WIRE.
I was really into these guys in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Somehow, they slipped through the cracks between everything else that I was consuming and I eventually forgot about them. Last Saturday at Record Exchange I saw their first two LPs (vinyl!). I passed on them only to be haunted by the gnawing understanding that I had to go back and rescue them from the dusty bin (“lucky bin”).

Hi. Stumbled onto your site…. Do you have a record rec for wire? All I have are a few mp3s I managed to find but the quality is awful.

I suggest you start with pink flag.
it’s the precursor to all hardcore and most post-punk music in general.
start there, if you like it, then go for their next two albums: chairs missing and 154.
youtube doesn’t really have much to go on as far as tidbits for getting a feel for different albums, bet you can not go wrong with Pink Flag.

Yeah, I’m in school and in the middle of a big project at work… so I haven’t found time for this lately.
I haven’t given up on it yet, and I’m not doing any other site, so I’m certainly intending on getting back into the blogroove.
